Julie Mellor

I am Julie Mellor, CEO of Taking Part and co-chair of the Shropshire Voluntary Community Sector Assembly. As of September 2023, I will have worked for Taking Part 22 years. I have a strong passion for our local people, communities and voluntary sector.

I live in Telford and have done so all my life. I have three children (one son and two daughters) and seven grandchildren; my are family are my life! They mean so much to me and keep me going… along with my job and my friends.

I enjoy reading, gardening and I make cakes; last year I made 26 Christmas cakes!

I also enjoy travelling and am very lucky to have travelled to a lot of places around the world. Cruising is also a passion.
