Shropshire Carers Partnership Board
The Shropshire Carers Partnership Board (SCPB) oversees services for unpaid carers in Shropshire, whatever their age. Our aim is to promote the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers.
Who are we?
The SCPB is made up of carers and representatives from community groups, the voluntary sector and health organisations. By working collaboratively, we can combine our skills and knowledge to co-produce the advice support, and services available for carers.
What do we do?
The purpose of the board is to promote the interests and wellbeing of unpaid and family carers. The board is responsible for driving improvements, and ensuring that outcomes are effective and have a positive impact on the lives of carers.
- Every five years the SCPB reviews the All-Age Carers Strategy to ensure that it meets the needs of carers in Shropshire
- The board meets four times a year to make sure the strategy is being implemented and to gather feedback from carers about their experiences
- An equal partnership of representatives oversees the All-Age Carers Strategy across every service and organisation represented, to deliver our shared vision, values, and priorities
- The All-Age Carers Strategy informs an action plan that’s reviewed regularly. We check that the work being done meets the outcomes set out in the action plan. The outcomes must be achieved in an effective, transparent, and timely way
- We sometimes form subgroups, directed by the board, to work on projects required by the action plan
- We use an open and fully co-produced process that supports and promotes the involvement of carers in the development of all services for carers
- We encourage the exchange of ideas and share examples of good practice that improve support for carers
- We work to raise awareness of ideas and understanding of the role of unpaid carers
