Shropshire Governor Services
Governors play an important strategic role in ensuring high education standards in schools, and it's our aim to provide a service which enables governors and clerks to governors to be effective in delivering their roles and responsibilities.
Governor Services provides a service which helps to shape and influence the quality and impact of school governance, through a traded service level agreement (SLA) to Shropshire schools and other local authority areas, plus training and development opportunities (run now by the University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS)).
These webpages run in tandem with the Shropshire Learning Gateway (SLG) to provide information to those who are interested in becoming a governor, and to explain the services we offer. The SLG supports serving governors, so the majority of documents which have previously been accessed via this site are now located on the SLG. Access to some SLG areas are password protected. If your school subscribes to the Governor Services’ SLA you need to contact the school for your password.
Please note, as we continue to restructure there have been changes to staff, job titles and service references.
