International Fraud Awareness Week 16 –22 November 2025

Fraud is now the crime you're most likely to experience, and criminals are using increasingly clever tactics to trick people out of money and personal information. International Fraud Awareness Week is a chance for us all to stay alert and protect ourselves.

Simple steps can make a big difference:

  • Stop and think before sharing personal or financial details
  • Check that emails, texts, or phone calls are genuine - fraudsters often pretend to be trusted organisations
  • Report anything suspicious to Action Fraud or the council
By working together, we can keep our community safe and ensure public money is used where it matters most.
