Shropshire Youth Post-16 options in your area

This isn't a full list of all post-16 providers in these areas. There are many other sixth forms that are attached to secondary schools that you may also want to think about.

What is a training provider?

Compared to colleges, training providers generally have small class sizes and are based at smaller sites or buildings. They can help you to gain English and Maths qualifications, an employability certificate as well as extended work experience when you're ready.

They'll help you to grow your confidence, improve your communication skills and help you get used to working with others. They also allow you to establish and maintain a routine eg getting up in the morning, leaving the house, regular night-time sleep patterns etc. The training programme acts as a stepping stone to other opportunities and once completed, people usually finish and go on to a college course or into employment.
