Autism: Working with and supporting Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) Adults

Aims to: Provide an insight directly from adults with differing PDA experiences. Develop knowledge of helpful PDA approaches that can be used in supporting individuals.

Learning objectives:

  • What is PDA?
  • Examine demands and their effects
  • Consider helpful approaches, including collaborative problem solving
  • Look at good support
  • Explore individual needs & self help

The course is designed as an interactive virtual classroom with learner involvement. There will be the opportunity at end of session for Q&A with both trainers.
