Shropshire Carers Register
As an unpaid adult carer, it can be difficult to know where to find information that is current and, importantly, correct.
At Shropshire Carers we recognised we needed a way to share important information to unpaid carers quickly and have developed a carer register which will hold: carer names, contact details, whether you want to be contacted via email or text, and the main condition of the person being cared for so that we can share information relevant to you, the carer, and in a way that suits you best.
By being part of the carers register you will receive:
A carers ID card
A carers ID card
The carers identification card is a small, credit card sized card that lets other people know in an emergency that there's a person who is relying on your care. The card should always be carried with you, for example in your bag or wallet. This provides the reassurance that, in an emergency, there are backup plans in place for the person you care for, so they won’t be left without support.

- To demonstrate how to create a network of people who can support you, so that you never feel isolated
- To offer guidance on emergency planning, so that you're ready and prepared should something unexpected come up
- To show you how to stay up to date, so that you're aware of any changes which may affect you
- You can register with Mobilise without joining the Carers Register
How to register
Carers can enrol on the register by completing our Carers Register form.
For carers who are unable to access the internet please contact the Shropshire Carers team on 01743 341995 and we'll complete the form on your behalf while we are talking with you on the phone.
