Affordable housing Consents
The Affordable Housing Team deal with consents relating to affordable homes only.
Please note that from 1 April 2024, we will levy a charge on consents that specifically relate to an affordable property that the Affordable Housing Team deal with. This is to bring us in line with other departments that deal with consents.
The following charges will apply from April 2025:
Eligibility letters for re sales £150
Mortgage consents £100
Consents for transfers/ sales £150
Amendments to title information £150
Land registry forms £150
Payment process
Before we can provide consent, we ask that you kindly pay our admin fee by BACS. Please see details below:
- Bank: Nat West

- Reference: Please insert AF and then the property address, to allow us to allocate the payment
Once you have made the payment, please email us to let us know at affordablehousing@shropshire.gov.uk.
So we can deal with your request promptly, we will require precise details relating to the request including names for transferor and transferee, as well as:
- Property title
- Property plan
- Full address
- Full names of both seller and buyer and mortgage company (if applicable)
- The selling figure (if applicable)
