Are you aware of the Op programmes to support serving personnel, veterans, and their families with aspects of life which may be challenging?
- Op COURAGE - If you’ve ever served in the UK Armed Forces, are struggling with your mental health and live in England, Op COURAGE is here to help. Op COURAGE is a dedicated NHS mental health service developed by veterans, for veterans.
- Op RESTORE - The Veterans Physical Health and Wellbeing Service is an NHS service providing specialist care and treatment to veterans who have physical health problems as a result of their time in the armed forces.
- Op NOVA - The Forces Employment Charity is proud to provide life-changing support for veterans in the justice system.
- Op FORTITUDE works with individual veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness, supporting them either into suitable accommodation or supporting them to maintain their current home.
- Op STERLING Working in partnership with Fighting With Pride, Age UK is delivering the Operation Sterling programme to help older LGBT+ veterans, service personnel and their families.
- Op PROSPER is an Office for Veterans’ Affairs programme which will empower veterans and their families the length and breadth of the United Kingdom, enabling them to thrive in society by ensuring equal access to employment opportunities and supporting them into sustainable, valuable careers.
- Op ASCEND is a service that provides free employment advice from specialist-trained advisors. Through one-to-one support, they can connect veterans and their families to their network of veteran-friendly employers based in high-demand sectors.
The Office for Veterans’ Affairs
Provides links to organisations best placed to help with the information, advice and support veterans and their families need – from healthcare and housing to employability, finances, personal relationships and more.

The Royal British Legion

Walking with the Wounded
Have you served in the armed forces? Are you unemployed? Walking with the Wounded can provide employment support to ex-forces personnel who are also receiving support or treatment for their mental health.
