The following organisations and teams offer information, advice and support to asylum seekers and refugees. 

• National Asylum Support Service (NASS) - NASS provides support, accommodation and financial help for asylum seekers whilst their claim is being considered by the Immigration and Nationality Directorate. You can call NASS on 0845 6021739.
• Refugee Council - works with asylum seekers and refugees to provide help and support to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
• British Red Cross - offers practical and emotional assistance to refugees and asylum seekers arriving in the UK.
• Social care services - asylum seekers in Shropshire are entitled to a community care assessment by our social care staff if it's thought that they may be eligible for community care services.
• For asylum seekers who are children, children's and young people's services has a duty to assess whether they are 'children in need'.
