Parenthood can be extremely rewarding and enjoyable. It can also be demanding, frustrating and exhausting. Drop in to the family hub sessions and the Early Help team will help you to find support for any questions or worries you may have around your child’s behaviour, development or parenting.
The parenting team offers help and support to parents and carers to raise healthy, well-rounded children in a loving and stable environment. This will look different for every family and we therefore have a variety of services on offer.
We also offer a range of groups on different topics, including groups for families with children with SEND.
There is a great selection of free online courses for families. These range from course for families who are expecting a baby, have toddlers or teenager, have a child with SEND or would like to explore their own relationships a bit more.
Find out more who the parenting team is and what we can offer you and your family.
For families with children with SEND please visit the parenting page on the Local Offer.
Or why not get in touch with us directly. Call us on 01743 250950, or email parenting.team@shropshire.gov.uk
The family hubs may have a parenting practitioner at a session for you to have a chat with. If there isn’t a parenting practitioner, the family workers at the family hub sessions are also able to support you with queries. They may suggest calling our parenting help and support line (01743250953) to speak to a parenting practitioner. This could be done from the hub or if you prefer, you can call us another time.
