You can find out which car parks have been affected by visiting our parking pages. These pages will be updated frequently during any period of flooding so please keep checking back for updates.
Where can I get help? Flood support for residents and businesses
- If there's immediate risk to someone’s life or serious risk to safety due to flooding call 999
- If you're concerned about the welfare of an elderly or vulnerable person due to flooding, and it's not something that could reasonably wait until normal office opening hours, please call on 0345 678 9044

Information on flooding and how to sign up for alerts
There's a wealth of information available to help you know if flooding may be expected in your area. Keeping up to date with the latest weather forecast is a great place to start.
To receive alerts from the Environment Agency when river flooding is expected you should register for Flood Warnings Direct. This is a free service that provides flood warnings by phone, text or email.
To view and receive flood alerts via Facebook, you can use the FloodAlerts Facebook app.
To monitor river levels in your area and upstream, you can use the GaugeMap website, or the Gov.uk website. Each river gauge is also available to follow via Twitter.
View the live river levels at Crew Green, Montford Bridge, Welsh Bridge (Shrewsbury) and Bridgnorth. On these pages you can click on 'Show Historical Events' and this will display more information on how levels could affect nearby areas.

We have also included some local references to help you know what is may be affected at different river levels. The highest recorded level taken at the Welsh Bridge, during the floods of November 2000, was 5.25m.
