Future Oswestry Project

The Future Oswestry Group, comprising representatives from Shropshire Council, Oswestry Town Council and Oswestry Business Improvement District (BID) oversees the Future Oswestry activities. Established in 2019, the group aims to foster a thriving business environment, a desirable living space for families and an attractive destination for tourists in Oswestry.

Significant efforts include the town-wide Future Oswestry Plan, which presents ideas and aspirations for the town's future, securing funding for the High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) programme to rejuvenate the high street and its historic shopfronts, supporting the successful Love Oswestry events, and contributing to the development of draft walking and cycling proposals for Oswestry.
