Working in partnership in Bridgnorth

The Future Bridgnorth Partnership (FBP), formed in autumn 2023, is a collaborative effort with the aim of invigorating the economy of Bridgnorth, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the town’s future.  

Comprising representatives from Shropshire Council, Bridgnorth Town Council, local councillors, and third-party stakeholders, the FPB will collectively shape and deliver a programme of activity, communicate ongoing and developing projects, and consult with the community as a collective.  

The FBP, with its in-depth knowledge of local priorities and aspirations for the area, enables focus to be on what really matters to residents as we strive for greater economic prosperity. 

The initial focus for the partnership is to:

• Look at how the High Street can be enhanced to be more appealing and functional for residents, visitors and local businesses
• Explore the efforts that could be made to improve air quality within the town, ensuring a healthier environment for everyone
• Create public spaces that are accessible and enjoyable, thereby fostering community engagement and leisure

The FBP is supported by officers from Shropshire Council and Bridgnorth Town and Parish Councils.  Information relating to the activities of the group will be published here and through other local channels.
