Your child’s entitlement to universal free school meals will continue until they enter year 3 of school.

Government benefits-based free school meals

For pupils who qualify under targeted FSM or expanded FSM criteria, eligibility for free meals will be kept under regular review through annual re-checks, ahead of the start of each academic year. Where the annual re-check identifies that a pupil may no longer be eligible for benefits-based free school meals, families will be notified through their child’s school.
