Description
Shrewsbury Town Council’s Young Shrewsbury Youth work team supported with external sports workers intend to deliver multi activities in an informal learning setting at The Grange Community Centre.
Activities will include but not exclusively, dance and drama, various art classes, cooking skills and visits/talks from external organisations.
Indoor multi-sports in the sports hall, table tennis, pool, soft ball etc. As with all the values of youth work, Young Shrewsbury will promote E&Q giving every young person the opportunity to participate and be valued in all activities provided. Our staff already support special needs groups, and we welcome SEN.
Young Shrewsbury intend to provide nutritious food. Young people will be encouraged to participate in the preparation of nutritious meals on a budget and have the opportunity to join us gardening in the vegetable / orchard garden.
All our activities are designed to target self-confidence/motivation, communication skills, teamwork and build resilience.
