Chloe Parker
I have worked in the Joint Training Team since 2024 having previously worked in Children’s Residential Services for 9 years latterly as a deputy manager of a Children’s Home.
I trained in Musical Theatre and hold a Level 3 and Level 6 in Professional Musical Theatre. Following this I worked in America, teaching drama and singing and it was here that I realised I wanted to work closer with children. Upon returning to the UK I worked in a children’s home for a private company before moving across to one of the Shropshire Council children’s homes. Here, I gained a Level 3 in Residential Childcare before moving into management and earning a Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I also hold a Level 7 in Drama as Therapy. I stayed in children’s residential services for 9 years, latterly as a deputy manager.
I joined the Joint Training Team in 2024, as the Safeguarding Learning and Development Officer and I deliver various courses related to that field, such as; Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Understanding and Working with Child Neglect, Child Sexual Abuse and the CSA Pathway as well as others. I deliver primarily across children’s services and to our stakeholders, however I am also able to deliver to adults services.
I spend most of my free time either reading or playing with my 3 young children – who keep me extremely busy!
