Mouth Care for Older Adults: an Introduction
Aims to: Improve the knowledge and skills of carers to provide or support safe and effective mouth care for older adults.
Learning objectives:
- Understand how poor oral health can contribute to poor general health
- Recognise how to provide or support safe and effective mouth care for older people, in line with NICE guidance NG48; Improving oral health for older adults
- Identify what is a healthy and unhealthy mouth
- Know how to access dental services in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin
