Aims to: Introduce strategies you can use to become more assertive to further your confidence and explore influencing-skills when managing a team
Learning objectives: By the end of this session learners will have had the opportunity to:
- Consider the definition of assertiveness
- Identify key skills and strategies on how to be assertive
- Explore the benefits of being more assertive as a manager and how effective it can be when communicating with your employees/teams
- Consider the risks of being too assertive and the effect it can have on our employees/teams
- Explore the communication techniques that can be used to help assertiveness in the workplace
