Aims to: Provide an awareness of hoarding and considerations when supporting adults who have difficulties with hoarding
Learning objectives:
- Define what hoarding is and when it may impact on someone's life
- Identify factors that lead to hoarding behaviour
- Consider hoarding as a diagnosis
- Describe the importance of multi-agency working and engaging the individual
- Identify key legislation that may be used when intervening with a person who hoards
- Outline local procedures for management of hoarding behaviour including safeguarding adults with care and support needs
