Libraries Crime fiction - reader and writer in residence

Dave Andrews, our reader and writer in residence, leads a discussion on crime fiction, with a particular focus on crime writing in Shropshire.

There will be readings and you’re welcome to bring books to recommend. Your views and comments will also be welcome, both on the genre itself and on specific authors such as Ian Rankin, Ann Cleeves, Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Colin Dexter and others.

Free but please book your place. Refreshments provided (donations welcome).

Author Dave Andrews is from Wrexham but has lived near Oswestry for 30 years. Following several years teaching English and Welsh, he became a freelance writer and translator in 1996.

As Oswestry Library’s reader and writer in residence, Dave gives regular talks on various aspects of English and Welsh literature, conducts creative writing workshops for writers working in either language and holds regular meetings with writers.
