From the earliest civilisations to the present day, Dr Starbuck will explore humankind’s development of management – and illustrate how its key principles can be observed at work amongst the plants, insects and animals.

This presentation will illustrate the role of management within the human and natural world, taking the audience through the vast sweep of history for a fascinating insight into how nature has informed the science of progress.

Professor Peter Starbuck is a renowned entrepreneur, logistician and management consultant – and an acknowledged world expert on Peter F Drucker, the ‘father of modern management’. He has written six books and more than 90 academic papers on Drucker, plus three other non-fiction works. Peter lives in Oswestry with his wife Heather.
