Supported groups, carers and tutors

Groups

Children's groups or clubs, including playgroups, can borrow up to 25 children's books for a maximum of 12 weeks. This can include big books and story sacks that are ideal for sharing. In addition, the Schools Library Service can provide nurseries and playgroups with a variety of other resources.

Residential homes can borrow items for their residents for an initial period of 12 weeks, with an option to renew after this period.

Music and drama groups can borrow vocal music sets, orchestral sets and play sets (there may be a charge). To order a set please email us.

Reading groups and book clubs can borrow up to 48 books for six weeks for free.

Carers

Foster carers and child-minders can borrow up to 25 children's books for a maximum of 12 weeks.

Tutors

Adult education and basic skills tutors can borrow up to 25 books for up to 12 weeks.

Home educators, family learning tutors and volunteer reading helpers can also borrow up to 25 books for up to 12 weeks.
