Submit an application

You are able to submit an online application to us, both allowing you to complete the application form, attach supporting documents and pay fees online! This also means saving you the cost of printing and postage.

Planning Portal application

You can submit both planning and building regulation applications via the National Planning Portal. The Planning Portal does not charge a submission fee for building regulation applications through the Planning Portal, this only applies to the submission of planning applications.

You can submit an application yourself, or, depending on the nature of the application, choose a professional agent to submit it for you.

What do I need to submit?

Information on what to submit with your application can be found on the 'application submission requirements' page.

Application fees

The easiest way to find the fee for an application is to use our online fee calculator.

Fee payment

You can pay in the following ways:

  • During online submission in the Planning Portal
  • You can pay online (please ensure that the applicant's name, site address and reference number are included with the payment)
  • By debit/credit card over the phone by calling 0345 678 9004 (applications made online should quote the Planning Portal reference number allocated during submission)

Minerals applications

At present, planning applications for minerals development can't be made via the Planning Portal. Applications therefore need to be submitted directly to us, electronically to planning.validation@shropshire.gov.uk

If you're unable to submit your application online
