Developer contributions

Developer contributions are a way of securing financial and non-financial contributions from a development towards infrastructure and affordable housing.

The most common forms of developer contribution are direct delivery of infrastructure as part of a development, use of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to deliver infrastructure, use of planning obligations, also known as Section 106 agreements (S106), for affordable housing and/or infrastructure secured via legal agreement, or a combination of these options.
