Monitoring

Monitoring is undertaken for a number of reasons. These include:

• Keeping communities informed
• Understanding whether policies in the Local Plan are effective and contributing towards achievement of the vision, strategic objectives and broad spatial strategy
• Supporting the preparation of policy documents, such as the next Local Plan
• Informing information to be provided to government
