March 2024

I am pleased to start this week off to let you know we’ve received a formal response from Network Rail on the scheme on Belvidere Bridge

The Asset Protection team have confirmed they have assessed our designs and calculations are happy with the information given. Unfortunately we now have to engage with the NWR Assessment Team for the legal approval and agreements to be worked through, we do now have a dedicated engineer called Yu for this which is a great advancement to where we have been the past two years; they have also suggested we meet them to talk through the project and I will use this opportunity to stress the local concerns and frustrations.

Hoping we get the formal agreement soon, obviously this is a frustrating scheme for us all especially with the time its taking for Network Rail to respond and this isn’t the approval to start build but I want to update you with any update we get and reassure you this is being chased up with Network Rail.

We will update the members portal with this information and following the meeting with the engineer

Thanks
