The contractor has confirmed that electrical works for the Copthorne Barracks Pedestrian Crossing will be undertaken in March, anticipated dates for the works are 20 and 21 March, with the main construction works expecting to commence 4 April.

Hello Cllr Dean,
We have programmed with our Traffic Signals Contractor to start the main works to install a new Puffin type crossing on Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury near to the Barracks.
The works are due to start on, 4th April 2024, and proceed for 2 weeks and be completed by, 19th April.
The works involve the installation of a footway buildout on the south side of Copthorne Road, drainage measures, and the ducting and signals installation for the Puffin crossing.
Whilst works are taking place, temporary traffic signals and pedestrian management will be used and we will ensure that disruption to pedestrians and traffic is kept to a minimum.
