Description

The 2019 accident cluster site review identified a cluster of one serious and two slight accidents, at the junction of Longden Road with Mousecroft Lane and Stanley Lane in Shrewsbury. In addition to the above, safety concerns have been raised regarding children walking/cycling to school from the new Sweetlake residential development and the fact there is no formal crossing facility on Longden Road in the vicinity of the Mousecroft Lane/Stanley Lane junction, where the existing footpath runs out on the west side of Longden Road. The scheme aims to provide a toucan crossing and raised table to improve connectivity between Sweetlake Meadow developments and local schools.
