Pre-application and planning advice

Our Development Management team administers the pre-application process. As part of this process you can request advice on the acceptability of any application that will have an impact on the highway. 

You can request a meeting with the planning officer, and request that a representative from the Developing Highways Team attends. You're encouraged to consult the existing highways development documents, such as:

• Shropshire Manual for Adoptable Roads and Transport (SMART)
• Standing advice – Minor applications
• Manual for Streets 1
• Manual for Streets 2
