How to be involved in your school's provision
The views of parents and carers are important in shaping services and activities for children, young people and families. Here are some of the ways you can share your views and ideas on local services and activities.
Parents' evenings and progress review days
Throughout the year Shropshire schools provide parents and carers with opportunities to express their thoughts and opinions on services and activities. You may be asked to:
- Complete a questionnaire
- Take part in a focus group/parent meeting
- Add your comments to a consultation wall

- Report to the governing body
- Are clear about its purpose and decides its own agenda
- Can advise the school on parental views
- Are a forum through which the school can consult parents
- Are a place for parents to learn more about the school
- Are a place for the school to learn more about parents
