Moving in/out of Shropshire with an EHC plan

When a child/young person with an EHC plan moves house and the new address falls in different local authorities area, the EHC plan will need to transfer to the new local authority. You can add your postcode to the find your local council website to check which local authority the address falls under.

Moving into Shropshire with an EHC plan

If you're planning to move into Shropshire please inform the SEN Team in your current local authority area and also email the EHCP Team in Shropshire EHCPTeam@shropshire.gov.uk so that we can request your file. You should provide the new address in Shropshire and the planned date of your move. You can find out more information in the mover-in policy.

Moving out of Shropshire with an EHC plan

If you're planning to move out of Shropshire please email the EHCP Team in Shropshire EHCPTeam@shropshire.gov.uk so that we can prepare to send your file to the new local authority. You should provide your new address in the new local authority area and the planned date of your move.
