Heating oil support

We know that rising heating oil prices are putting significant pressure on many households, particularly in rural areas where oil is the main source of heating. To help residents who are struggling, we and our delivery partners Community Resource are offering financial support through their Heating Oil Support Payments scheme, funded by the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

This support is designed to help households on lower incomes or those facing financial hardship to stay warm and safe in their homes. Assistance is for those most in need, and may include help towards the cost of heating oil based on your individual circumstances.

If you're struggling to afford heating oil you may be able to apply for support. The application process is simple and will ask a few questions about your household and financial situation to understand your needs.

What you'll need to apply

Before you apply (either online or in person/over the phone), please ensure that you have the following ready:

• Details of the total held in savings or investments for you, and if appropriate, your household
• Details of the annual income for you, and if appropriate, your household
• Proof of your address
• The dates of birth for all household members
