Connecting Shropshire

From 2013 to 2023 the Connecting Shropshire broadband programme oversaw an increase in superfast* broadband coverage from 24% to >98% of premises in the Shropshire Council area.

Our aim remains to achieve equitable broadband coverage for premises in Shropshire and we will continue to work with the UK government on their Project Gigabit programme to deliver gigabit** broadband in the Shropshire Council area.

*superfast broadband is capable of delivering 30 megabits per second (mbps).
**gigabit broadband is capable of delivering 1,000 megabits per second (mbps).

If you have any questions regarding:

  •  Broadband availability
  •  Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme
  •  Project Gigabit
  •  Other (please provide details)
