Ecology and biodiversity

The Ecology Team works to protect and enhance the biodiversity of Shropshire. We do this by providing advice and guidance on wildlife legislation and policy across the council’s functions. We lead on the delivery of statutory biodiversity responsibilities under the Environment Act 2021; collecting, managing and disseminating ecological data to support decision making and by working in partnership with external organisations to promote landscape-scale recovery of nature.
