Commissioned by the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner and delivered by Victim Support West Mercia, these free training sessions are designed to raise awareness of hate crime and the impact of these crimes, while also providing information about how to report and what support is available for victims.
Victim Support want people to increase their awareness of hate crime and feel confident in reporting incidents to the relevant people and to the police so that any problem areas highlighted can be dealt with appropriately. Support is always available from Victim Support, to anybody who perceives themselves to be a victim of any crime, including hate crime. People do not need to have reported to the police to get support from Victim Support.
Aims to: Give people a greater understanding of hate crime so that they can better recognise this is not only in personal lives, but wherever you may be e.g. in the workplace
