Fare-related questions
How do I pay for my journey?
Payments can be made via the Connect on Demand app once an account has been made. We don’t accept any form or cash payment on board the vehicle. If you're booking via the phone line and are required to pay for your journey, then we have a special phone line system for making payments securely over the phone.
You can also use your Older Person’s and Disabled Person’s (including companion where applicable) bus pass, which is free after 9:30am on weekdays and all day on Saturdays. Concessionary pass holders will need to call our booking line on 0345 678 9013 to add their concessionary bus pass number and transfer the account so you can travel for free. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm.

I have an older person’s or disabled person’s bus pass (English national concessionary travel scheme). Can I travel for free with Connect on Demand?
Yes, this service is free for older person’s and disabled person’s (including companion where applicable) bus pass holders after 9:30am on weekdays and free all day on Saturdays. Concessionary pass holders will need to call our booking line on 0345 678 9013 to add their concessionary bus pass number and transfer the account so you can travel for free. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm. Don’t forget you’ll have to show your bus pass when you board the vehicle. If you’re travelling with someone who doesn’t have a concessionary travel pass, you will have to pay for their ticket via the app.
Can I bring someone along with me?
Yes, you can bring additional passengers as long as there are seats available at the time of booking. This may vary depending on other bookings that have been made for the same time of travel.
Please note that there's a charge for each additional passenger that travels with you. For details of fares please refer to the question ‘how much does it cost to travel’ above. Note: All children, regardless of their age, must be marked as additional passengers when booking your journey.
Can I travel with my dog?
Yes! Dogs can travel for free on this service. Passenger assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs, will be carried free at all times.
Other animals that aren't considered a danger or nuisance to other passengers will be carried free at the driver’s discretion. The passenger taking the animal on the bus will be responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from its presence. The animal must not travel on the seats.
Can I use a network ticket from another bus operator to travel in the specified zones?
No. Only the specified tickets brought from our operator will be accepted on the Connect on Demand service.
I've paid for a ticket, but I cannot see it in the app – where can I find it?
If you've purchased a ticket on the Connect on Demand app and need to show it to the driver when you board your connecting bus, you'll be able to find it under ‘History’ in the main menu of the Connect on Demand app.
