Can I have a smaller bin?
We currently only supply 240 litre bins. This may be reviewed depending on customer feedback.
Do I have to have a bin?
You can use boxes for recycling if that's what you prefer. This is an opt-in service only, so only residents who request a bin will receive one.
Can I have more than one bin?
Only one bin is provided per household. We encourage residents to squash plastic bottles and drinks cans to maximise the space in the container.
Will we have a bin for paper and cardboard?
We have no plans to move away from a bag for paper and cardboard. We're reviewing the design of the bag so that the lid secures on all sides to reduce issues with the contents becoming wet.
Will you be collecting cartons/Tetrapak?
We have no plans to collect from the kerbside at the moment. You may continue to recycle cartons at any of our five household recycling centres.
This may change in future with the implementation of the Resource and Waste Strategy.
