Changes to collection times 23 June 2026

Due to the unprecedented heat the following changes have been made to help our collection crews avoid working in the hottest part of the day on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Collection times

Collections will start at 6am, rather than 7am, and will finish earlier than normal, at 12 noon. Please put your bins, boxes and bags out by 6am, or the night before if possible

Garden waste collections

There will be no garden waste collections on Wednesday and Thursday so that the garden waste crews can help with the collection of recycling and general waste. This is in line with our adverse weather policy.

If you subscribe to our garden waste service, excess garden waste will be collected on your next scheduled garden waste collection day. Please leave any excess garden waste in black sacks next to your garden waste bin.

If you are on a garden waste sack collection, extra sacks will be collected.

Any mixed recycling or general waste not collected by the end of Friday will be collected on Saturday.

Collections will return to normal on Monday.
