Developing highways

The Developing Highways team carries out duties on planning applications that have an impact on transport and seeks to promote sustainable development and active travel. We respond to planning application consultations and also have an input into local plan reviews, development and design briefs.

When new developments are planned, we look at the benefits to transport and advise whether the developments are satisfactory and can be incorporated into the transport system.
