Child exploitation
What is child exploitation?
Child exploitation is when someone takes advantage of a child or young person and uses them for their own benefit. This is never the child’s fault. Children and young people with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) can sometimes be more at risk because they may trust people easily, want friends or to fit in, find it harder to know when something is wrong or struggle to identify or communicate risks.
