Listed buildings
A listed building is a building, object or structure that has been judged to be of national, historical or architectural importance. Buildings are listed in order to give protection against inappropriate alterations and demolition. Listing ensures that any proposed works to the building are appropriate and fully considered.
Shropshire boasts a rich and diverse range of buildings, of both architectural and historic importance. There are approximately 6892 listed buildings in Shropshire.
