Under the provisions of Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, we control and licence sex establishments. This is to include sex shops, sex cinemas and sexual entertainment venues in Shropshire.

Am I eligible to apply for a sex establishment licence?

Yes, if you are over the age of 18, operate or intend to operate a sex establishment. This includes sex shops, sex cinemas or sexual entertainment venues in Shropshire.

Who needs one?

Operators of a sex shop, sex cinema or sexual entertainment venue.

How long will it take?

You should allow at least three months for your application to be considered.
