Anyone carrying out any of the following skin piercing treatments is required to hold a personal registration and to practise from a premises which is also registered:
- Acupuncture

- Semi-permanent skin colouring
The applicant must ensure that the procedures, equipment and facilities used are safe, hygienic, prevent the spread of disease and comply fully with Shropshire Council’s by-laws and the general duty of care required by the Health and Safety at Work Act etc 1974.
You'll find the premises application form and the personal registration form under 'How do I apply?' below.
There is currently no licensing or registration regime for non-surgical aesthetic treatments like Botox and cosmetic fillers. A licensing scheme has been proposed by government but currently hasn’t gone any further than the consultation stages. This page will be updated with any further developments.
If you are unable to pay for your application online, please contact the Licensing team using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
