Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Talking Therapies

The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin NHS Talking Therapies Service helps people with common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression. It offers a range of courses, both online and in person, to help with improving wellbeing and reducing symptoms of low mood and anxiety. All courses are run by trained and qualified practitioners; you can find out more about the courses available on their website.

The service also offers an online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) course where you can learn therapy skills at your own pace guided by a trained supporter. For some people one-to-one therapy may be more appropriate, so please discuss this with the assessing therapist. Each of the therapy offers is evidence-based and aligned to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. You'd be offered the most appropriate intervention based on NICE guidelines. To access the service you need to be aged 16 or over and registered with a Shropshire or Telford and Wrekin GP.
