Park and ride - Ludlow
From Monday 5 August 2024 to Monday 31 March 2025, park and ride will only be £1 return, per person from Ludlow ECO Park!
Ludlow park and ride provides an efficient bus route into and around Ludlow town centre from the free to park, easy to access ECO Car Park, located on the outskirts of town.
No matter why you’re heading into town, parking is easy with Ludlow park and ride. Buses are fully accessible and low floor with space for buggies and wheelchairs onboard.
So whether you’re going for work, enjoying a day at the shops, having lunch with friends or exploring Ludlow’s unique historic castle, festivals or independent shops, cafes and restaurants, park and ride is the way to visit Ludlow.
Operating days and times
Buses operate every 30 minutes throughout the day, Monday to Saturday. There is no service on Bank Holidays.
The first bus leaves each site from 7.53am until 5pm. The last bus back from the town centre is at 5.30pm.

Fares
From Monday 5 August 2024 until Monday 31 March 2025 a standard return fare is only £1 per person from Ludlow ECO car park. This includes all day parking at the site for free.
For those catching the service from additional stops (not Ludlow ECO car park) the prices are as follows;
- £2.00 return bus fare per person
- £1.50 for accompanied children, under 16 years old
- Concessionary Pass Holders travel for free on the 722 service, but will be charged £1 if travelling from Ludlow ECO car park.
Contactless payment is available on all buses.
Car park information
This site is located east of Ludlow, just off the A49 towards Sheet. Once you have turned left into the Ludlow ECO Business Park, follow the road north to the car park. The nearest postcode for GPS and journey planning is SY8 1ES.
There is no charge to park your car at the ECO car park site. Instead you will be charged per person using the park and ride service and will need to purchase tickets on the bus.
Currently there is no CCTV available at this site. Please be advised that you park your vehicle at your own risk. Shropshire Council or any of its subsidiaries cannot be held accountable for any damage your vehicle may incur.
Cycle parking is available at the ECO car park site.
Motorhomes are welcome, however, there is no overnight parking permitted at the site. There are a number of caravan sites located around Ludlow, South Shropshire and North Herefordshire.
The site is locked after the arrival of the last bus from the town centre at approximately 5.43pm. There is no overnight parking permitted. Any vehicles left in the car park as the last bus leaves may find themselves locked in. If you’re locked in you will need to call us on 0345 678 9006 to ask a contractor to release your vehicle, in which case you will be liable to pay in cash only. It's a £60 call out lock-in charge.
Please note: the car park is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

- Corve Street (Outside the Compasses Inn)
- Castle Square (Outside Ludlow Assembly Rooms)
Routes may be disrupted at times due to road closures or events - information will be supplied at bus shelters if relevant.
Dogs
Passenger assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs, will be carried free at all times
Other animals that are not considered a danger or nuisance to other passengers will be carried free at the driver’s discretion. The passenger taking the animal on the bus will be responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from its presence. The animal must not travel on the seats.
