Park and ride - Ludlow
Ludlow park and ride provides an efficient bus route into and around Ludlow town centre from the free to park, easy to access ECO Car Park, located on the outskirts of town.
No matter why you’re heading into town, parking is easy with Ludlow park and ride. Buses are fully accessible and low floor with space for buggies and wheelchairs onboard.
So whether you’re going for work, enjoying a day at the shops, having lunch with friends or exploring Ludlow’s unique historic castle, festivals or independent shops, cafes and restaurants, park and ride is the way to visit Ludlow.
Operating days and times
Buses operate every 30 minutes throughout the day, Monday to Saturday. There is no service on Sundays and bank holidays.
The first bus leaves the ECO Park at 7:30am. The last bus back from the town centre is at 5:30pm.
The service operates as service number 722, for a full timetable please visit the Traveline website. The service is operated by Minsterley Motors under contract by Shropshire Council.

For those catching the service from Ludlow ECO car park the prices are as follows;
- Standard* (return fare) - £2 per person
- Concessionary pass holder (return fare) - £1 per person
- Accompanied children under 16 years – FREE
- Lost ticket fee - £2 per person
- Contactless payment is available on all buses
*Please be advised that park and ride is designed for customers parking a car and accessing the town centre. For those customers who have walked to the site, please be advised that you may be charged a 'walkers fare' as below.
For those catching the service from stops outside of the ECO car park, such as Sheet Road and Lower Galdeford the prices are as follows;
- Standard (single fare) - £2 per person
- Standard (return fare) - £3.80 per person
- Concessionary pass holder (return fare) – FREE
- Child - Under 16 (single fare) – £1.50 per person
- Child – Under 16 (return fare) - £2.85 per person
- Lost ticket fee - £2 per person (single fare)
- Contactless payment is available on all buses
Car park information
This site is located east of Ludlow, just off the A49 towards Sheet. Once you have turned left into the Ludlow ECO Business Park, follow the road north to the car park. The nearest postcode for GPS and journey planning is SY8 1ES.
There is no charge to park your car at the ECO car park site. Instead you will be charged per person using the park and ride service and will need to purchase tickets on the bus.
Currently there is no CCTV available at this site. Please be advised that you park your vehicle at your own risk. Shropshire Council or any of its subsidiaries cannot be held accountable for any damage your vehicle may incur.
Cycle parking is available at the ECO car park site.
Motorhomes are welcome, however, there is no overnight parking permitted at the site. There are a number of caravan sites located around Ludlow, South Shropshire and North Herefordshire.

Routes may be disrupted at times due to road closures or events - information will be supplied at bus shelters if relevant.
Dogs
Passenger assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs, will be carried free at all times
Other animals that are not considered a danger or nuisance to other passengers will be carried free at the driver’s discretion. The passenger taking the animal on the bus will be responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from its presence. The animal must not travel on the seats.
