Are the buses accessible to pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters?
All Shrewsbury park and ride buses are designed with accessibility in mind with:
- Low-floor access
- Ramps for wheelchair users
- Space for buggies, wheelchairs and mobility aides
- Shrewsbury park and ride is operated by Hotspur (D&G) which permits certain types of mobility scooters on board, with a permit. To find out which scooters are permitted, and to apply for a permit, visit the D&G website
Waiting for your bus
After parking your vehicle, passengers are reminded to wait at the designated shelter prior to the bus's scheduled arrival time. Passengers shouldn't wait in their own vehicles until the bus arrives. If passengers aren't at the shelter when the bus approaches, the bus will depart as timetabled.
Routes may be disrupted at times due to road closures or events - information will be supplied at bus shelters and/or via social media platforms if relevant.
Who do I contact about lost property?
If you've left something on a park and ride bus, you'll need to call the operator Hotspur directly on 01782 332337, or via email at info@hotspurbus.co.uk. The Hotspur customer enquiries team is available from 7am until 6pm Monday to Saturday.
Can I bring animals on the bus?
Passenger assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs, will always be carried free of charge. Birds in cages, dogs, cats and other small animals carried in a passenger’s lap will be allowed to travel at no charge, at the absolute discretion of the driver on safety grounds. Animals aren't permitted on the seats.
