Training to provide knowledge on the essential principles of supervision and how they link with performance management

This course is for Shropshire Council staff working in Adult Social Care and Housing Options teams only.  It is tailored specifically for staff who do not provide direct care.

Training to introduce and increase understanding of safeguarding adults.

Training to increase knowledge and awareness of the Mental Capacity Act MCA.

An overview of the Early Help system in Shropshire for professionals working with children, young people or their parent(s) in Shropshire,

Training to introduce and increase understanding of safeguarding and protecting children.

Training to introduce the concept of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards DOLS.

This course is recommended for staff who work in environments that require safe responses to escalating behaviours, but not restrictive or physical intervention techniques. Participants will learn how to respond to crisis situations with a focus on prevention, using verbal de-escalation skills and strategies where restraint is inappropriate.

Leadership and management training to develop coaching skills of supervisors, team leaders and managers and how to develop successful coaching session with their staff.

This course is recommended for staff working in health and social care who need to prevent and/or intervene in crisis situations and whose Training Needs Analysis has established that they require disengagement skills only (no holding).

Improve your understanding of professional curiosity and how to apply this to your practice

Training to increase understanding of the safeguarding adults enquiry process and your role in carrying out an enquiry.
